Bringing the Outside In
The homeowners enjoy entertaining family and friends, and desired an updated space that would allow them to do this while showcasing their spectacular view of the American River. Finish details, including hard wood plank flooring, wood beams, stone and warm custom cabinetry, transformed this home to bring the outdoors inside. The color palate drew on the colors found in nature around the home. As a nod to the kayakers frequently seen paddling in the river outside the home, an antique kayak frame was repurposed as a light fixture and suspended over the grand dining table.
